Summer of Love Heart Logo

Original Logo Art. Drawn and inked lettering of the words “Summer of Love” in the shape of a heart, created for the 30th Anniversary Summer Of Love Celebration. This design has since become iconic of the various Summer Of Love events. The logo was commissioned by Chet Helms and used as the central motif on the poster I designed for the event, as well as appearing on some posters by other artists, and on all the advertising and products for the show. Concert at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California, October 12, 1997. Art is hand-signed, with a signed poster included.

David Singer "David Singer is best known as one of the early Fillmore artists, designing 75 posters for Bill Graham, from 1969 to 1990. This was the era before computers changed everything in graphics. Working mostly in the medium of collage, he has now integrated traditional analog cut-and-paste methods with current digital techniques. David singer currently lives and works in Petaluma, California."
